Already overseas
You have an English website. Why are overseas enquiries still scarce?
Check whether buyers can discover you, find enough information to trust you, and contact you easily. That gives your next investment a clearer purpose.
Your products are ready and your English website is live, yet few new enquiries arrive. I suggest reviewing the journey a buyer takes: where they first hear about you, what helps them assess your offer, and how they get in touch.
If you want overseas buyers to discover your business through tools such as ChatGPT, start with their needs. Getting an accurate company description after entering your brand name does not establish whether someone unfamiliar with your business would find it.
Check discovery before the buyer knows your name
Choose a target country and the language your buyers use. Review AI answers to realistic purchasing situations. Record which businesses appear, which pages are cited, and how the products are described.
If your business does not appear, keep the result and repeat the check under comparable conditions on another date. A brand mention, a recommendation, and a citation to your website are different observations.
Also check whether search engines can access your site, whether important product pages are indexed, and whether key information is outdated or inconsistent. Google's AI search features draw on its Search index, making this a useful starting point. [1]
Give buyers enough information to assess the product
Claims such as “excellent quality” and “global service” express an intention. Buyers also need practical details: suitable applications, important specifications, supply arrangements, and evidence they can verify.
Imagine a purchasing manager looking for an industrial pump suited to local operating conditions. A page that says only “high-quality pumps” leaves questions about applications, flow ranges, materials, operating conditions, and whom to contact. Clear, accurate details help the buyer prepare for a useful conversation.
I would start with one or two priority product pages. Be specific about what you can confirm. Avoid filling gaps with credentials you do not hold, unconfirmed lead times, or client examples you have no permission to publish.
Make the enquiry path work
Use a phone to follow the path from a product page to the contact options. Can you find the button, submit the form, receive the email, and use WhatsApp or another listed channel?
Then review traffic sources alongside qualified enquiries. Being seen and starting a business conversation are separate outcomes. Tracking both helps you decide whether to improve product information, fix the contact journey, or adjust distribution.
Where I would begin
My initial review considers your products, target countries, and current website. It provides findings, a prioritised improvement list, and suggested next steps. I build on usable existing material. Social media for overseas markets can be included according to your buyers' channels and the resources available to you.
