Want Perplexity to Find Your Product? Make Your Website Answer Buyer Questions

Examine current AI citations, then give buyers clear answers backed by product evidence.

A polished product page can still leave buyers unsure whether the product suits them. Rather than guessing which format AI prefers, I suggest examining current citations and checking whether your pages answer the questions behind a purchase.

Research questions and inspect the sources

Start with your product category, target country, and buying situation. Ask Perplexity to suggest decision factors, then open the cited pages and examine the evidence.

Treat AI-generated ideas about demand as leads to investigate. Compare them with actual enquiries, customer conversations, and product documentation. Claude can help identify gaps when supplied with those materials.

Answer the need before telling the brand story

Explain what the product is, who it suits, what it helps with, and any important conditions. Introduce the brand in the context of that decision.

Use clear headings, explain your judgment before the detail, and add comparison tables when verified specifications or conditions make them useful. FAQs should answer remaining questions rather than repeat the page.

This structure helps readers. It does not require a fixed word count or every heading to be a question.

Keep evidence close to each claim

If you describe a suitable use case, explain the conditions. If you compare alternatives, show differences readers can verify. Documentation, demonstrations, test records, and publishable case material can support those claims.

When evidence is missing, gather it before strengthening the claim. Do not turn another business’s results—or an AI-generated assumption—into your own customer outcome.

Check whether the page can be read

Check page access, readable text, and links between relevant pages. Any structured data should match the visible content and its actual type.

Perplexity recommends allowing PerplexityBot and checking its published IP ranges alongside website security settings. Investigate actual access problems rather than assuming a particular hosting or firewall plan always blocks it.

Improve the information, evidence, and accessibility together. Then revisit the same questions and record what changed.
